It's not only vocabulary
Many learners fail Hören because they listen for every word. Exams reward signal: Wer? Was? Wann? Wo? Wie viel?
Train negation: nicht, kein, noch nicht — exam audio often flips meaning late in the sentence.
Numbers and times
Practice phone numbers, prices, and Uhrzeit in fast clips. Write digits immediately — do not wait for the full dialogue.
One-week fix
Daily: two short clips + one page of exam-style multiple choice. Review only the items you got wrong. Repeat those sentence patterns in drills.
